Comments: In 1965 I was transfered from the USS HECTOR AR-7 To the moth ball fleet in Mare Island. In 1966 I was in officers country and heard a familiar voice. It was my old Division officer Lt. Riddle. He asked me to ship over to the Askari as we were outfitting her for duty in Viet Nam. I declined and to this day I have regretted it. Can anyone tell me the where abouts of Lt. Riddle, He was a fine commander and a great friend. I was IC/2 Perkins to him. Shps company electricians. on the USS PELIAS AS-13 i'D like to hear from anyone who remembers me

Comments: I was an aircraft mechanic in World War II and was stationed all during the war at Wharton Airbase in WhartonEngland. This town was south of Blackpool on the west coast of England.
