Comments: I served on board the Askari from 1969 to 1970 in Viet-nam.. I sure do miss the guys I served with. When I saw the pics, tears came along with viewing them and the memories of the guys I served with. Words can not explain the emptyness I have felt all these years woundering how they are all doing, and always wanting to talk to them all again about the war.
Comments: I served two tours on the askari in the ops. dept as a radarman. By the time that my second tour was up, I was the most experienced radarman on the ship. As an 20 year old I enjoyed the excitement. I left the Navy after my last tour as a rd2. I have been trying to find some et's as well as radarman that served 67-69
