Comments: I served with Riv Ron 13, March of '68 to 'March of 69. I went to ET school, with Don "Corky" Martin, who was from Texas and worked in your E.T. Shop. I washed out of E.T. school and reconnected with Corky, in March/April of 68, outside of Dong Tam. I've been trying to find him, ever since! Does anybody have contact info, or know what became of Corky?

Comments: Served on the Askari from Mar 70 to Mar 71. Worked with great people.
Comments: It's nice to be thanked for serving in Vietnam now and then. We didn't get it at the time, but I am feeling better every day for having served on the USS Askari with so many really great guys.

Comments: I served on the Askari from 1966 to 1967.
Comments: I was on the USS Askari ARL-30 from 1954-1956. I was in the Repair Hull Division and was a FP2. I have a lot of fond memories with the guys I served with. I am currently 80 years old and live in Reno, NV I went aboard the Askari in San Diego in Feb 1954 and stayed aboard until they put her out of comission in Astoria Oregon in 1956. Most of the time we were at sea in French Indo China, Japan, Phillipines, Tachen Islands I was transferred off the Askari in 1956 when they were in route to Astoria Oregon to put her out of comission. I have a bunch of pictures I took of the guys I served with. I was unaware they put her back in comisson with all you guys that were on her in the 60's. If any of you remember me it would be nice to get in touch. Al Cauchon
